Do you still own your ’73 Champion? I just bought the exact same RV. A ’73 Champion RV, 24 ft. Mine looks like yours exactly, with 46k miles. I just installed a new gas tank on it. I plan on taking it 70 miles to Talladega twice a year and to many of our state parks within a hundred miles. Once I feel confident with it I will make a 240 mile trek to Panama City, FL. I could easily spend $20k for a late model used RV but once I turned 40 I learned to laugh at the thought of worrying what other people think. I love the older ones and the fact it is paid for! I can’t tell if mine has a 318 or a 360 engine, which engine do you have? Cheers, Ted

Yes I do. It is great….needs work, but am working on it as funds are available. I have the 440-3 cid. I still need new ebrakes on the back, as they are locked up solid, new exhaust for both sides, 3 new tires for the rear and need to do something with the tranny as the main is leaking. After all that is done, then I will do a tuneup, then either run browns gas, or hopefully will have found somone who can build the hydrogen generator so I can run simply hydrogen on it.

I have tried unsuccessfully to find a pogue carb, or at least blueprints for one. But either they don’t exist, or nobody is willing to cough one up.

once I have everything in order, I will most likely head towards florida myself, since I have a friend down there…

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment….later Ted!

    Jim.
